Its so structured and geometric, it doesn't look like a real flower.  I'd guess dahlia too.

I amnot a flower person but that is so pretty!  It looks like pieces of paper rolled into a cone shaped done over and over again.

Looks like a Rocco dahlia; my grandmother had a dahlia bed near the back door, and her "Rockies" were her favorites.

@Boomernichols  I think it's a dahlia. My neighbor is pretty old and her memory is not what it used to be. It is so pretty. I never seen a flower like this. It's so perfect. Her garden is stunning. I photographed it so much.
