How about a large non-skid rug by a bathtub or a shower?  Just me here,  it I think that provides more safety than wet feet on a tile floor.  Safety bars should be installed to help you exit bathing.

Yup, a small oblong step-out mat in front of the toilet and a larger oblong rug in front of the sink. I wouldn't never not have any rugs in a bathroom. So cold and sterile. Gotta have a few rugs to warm it up a bit on the old tootsie toes.

Re: Bathroom Rugs?

[ Edited ]

Do any of you remember the matching doorknob covers that were also included with these bathroom sets?...LOL

When my husband and I were first married, we lived on the second floor of a two family home...There was carpeting installed in the bathroom...Ugh!...We quickly removed it and had new flooring installed!

I've always used non-skid bathroom rugs in front of our vanity and tub areas.

I only use small white washable rugs by the shower and tub.

I have one in front of the sink and another for when I step out of the shower but before I leave for work I hang that one on the side of the tub.

NO RUGS!  Only use the bath mats on floor when showering/bathing - then into the wash they go.

As someone already mentioned, they are an accident waiting to happen.

I use bathroom rugs but not the sets. I just have throw rugs in front of the sinks, tub and shower. I grew up with the rug sets though and all the stuff on the toilet . I never did like them.

In my full baths I have a rug to stand on when getting out of a tub or shower.  In my bath, I also have a rug in front of the sink.

NO sets now, or ever.  I do have a small rug in front of the tub and the shower as a safety measure, since the bathroom floors are ceramic tile.
