Do you like oversize accessories?  I do.  That almost 'bulls-eye' mirror, huge bowl with natural grasses, and stately lamp.  Then, for contrast maybe, that cute little oil painting...

What really makes it for me, is that vintage, big, patina'd lidded basket underneath!   Practical too.

This is the entry in the "Six Swans" house that Steven Gambrel designed.

What are the essentials you'd  want to have in any vestibule or entry hall?   Bench, closet, "hall tree"?  Or?

Re: BOLD, SIMPLE ENTRY

[ Edited ]

I like large-sized accessories bc they can make a simple strong statement. I also like them bc they replace the clutter of a bunch of small accessories.

As far as that table goes, I'd remove everything and just leave the white bowl ... empty. It looks like there's a pendant light nearby, so the lamp wouldn't be missed if removed.

Or, I'd remove everything except the little painting on the easel. If I didn't want it in the middle, I'd add a figurine or a candle holder or a piece of glass art on the opposite end of the table from the painting.

There's too much clutter on that table for my style preference.

I love that.  I especially love mirrors.  What really caught my eye is the beautiful staircase that you can see in the reflection of the mirror.

@Oznell

I like the space as it is.  I would only have a coat closet, and maybe a tufted bench across from the mirror.

I don't know Oznell, for me, the items in this collection do not work well together. I do like the table. For an entry hall, I love a beautiful floral arrangement.

Too much stuff for me.  Mirror is fine but all the other things just make it look overcrowded and cluttered.

I love big accessories they have more of a presence and are just more calming.  A bunch of small things just hurt my brain and make me anxious.

I really like the mirror but I think I agree with

@Desert Lily  and I'd like this more with just the bowl but I'd keep the dried foliage arrangement in it or the bowl, the lamp and a lantern (maybe?)....

I love the wall trim, wall colors and the door color, pretty.

I would trash everything on that table.  The table would be the place for me to keep my car & house keys as well as my mail.

Love the mirror.  My cat would love that wicker otterman.

Well, as much as I hate to be negative Nellie, this one is a big no for me.  Waaay too much stuff crammed in one spot.  Can't please everybody, I guess.

I like it except everything looks distorted in the mirror.
