My additions: Most room decor is improved with the addition of books and something old.

Do what YOU love & makes you happy!

 

Let's face it, we all like different colors, styles, amounts of "stuff", even types & sizes of homes. Something that some random person or entity says is the "right " thing to do might be something you hate!

 

Decorating for others or for a potential "resale" if you don't like it would personally depress me to stare at something every DAY I didn't like. I decorate, paint & remodel to what makes me & my family happy as much as I can afford. Every day brings a smile to my face walking in or through my rooms! It should for anyone else too in their space, no matter how big or small. Make it your own & enjoy!

 

Edited to add if you're actively selling or about to sell your home, maybe make some generic edits/changes....otherwise make your home your personal retreat!!
