Sherrikay. I read about sheets not to long ago is that when they tell us the thread count they don't tell the truth about that. I forget exactly how they said it but basically they may give the thread count they give false information. So its actually alot less thread count than it has so when sheets don't feel nice as they should its because they were dishonest about the thread count. Hope I don't confuse anyone the way I tried to explain that.   So you don't always get what you're thinking your paying for.

Costco bamboo sheets are amazing IMO.

I have had good luck with Costco's 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.  Very silky.  I like silky, "slippery" sheets.  I hate feeling like I've been "Velcroed" to the bed.

Did you launder these sheets before you put them on the bed?

@amyb , Amadeus was my favorite brand EVER! I've got a few Northern Nights sets that I had to buy but they do not compare in any way, except that they're both sheets, to Amadeus. I don't know who made them but I haven't found anything near the quality yet.

Anyone remember the Amadeaus line from QVC about 12 years ago? I had two sets, same item#, two different colors. Sadly let go of one last year, but still have a periwinkle set that matches a comforter set I bought from Q then too. That Amadeaus line was so lux feeling...I think they were only 3-500 thread count. I say "only" because they had just started all that thread count thing...and back then 300 was considered great (not sure sheets went up to 500 then!) Now I think they go up to 1000!

These were like a sateen, felt so silky but not slippery, and cool at night.

They do wrinkle, and, so many years later, the set I have is not quite as silky as it was,  but they were my favorite sheets ever.

I remember that line.  I bought a set and they were terrible.  When I got them, I washed them and put them on my bed, and when I went to bed that night I felt like I was lying between sheets of sandpaper!  They were so rough and scratchy, I immediately removed them and put on an old set of Northern Nights sheets I had.  I returned them.  I don't remember the thread count, but I only buy at least 300 thread count.  I must have received a "bad batch"!

Unfortunately, I was a victim of an Amadeaus sheetset - bought from the Q around that time. I washed it - and it came out very wrinkled - and it was a horrible mess - and I tossed it in the trash. I've since learned to keep all the packaging - so I could return whatever I hate. At the time, it cost $70 + shipping - and that was the most expensive sheetset I had ever purchased. All my sheetsets have been Northern Nights Wrinkle Defense -- but u can't find them anymore. Recently I purchased 3 sets of sheets from Costco - haven't used them yet - I always keep spares. $50/each set on sale. I'll never pay $70 + shipping again.
