Re: Anything Here Look Familiar?

I immediately  noticed the door.  When I first purchased this 1950s home, my kitchen door was painted a 50s mint green color & boy did that door get rikety & rattling against the door frame with the NE winters' winds.  I could feel the very cold air getting in.  Needless to say, I replaced the door as soon as I could afford it.

I've also noticed the 50s appliances, checkered floors through the years in various photos.  There was a family member whom also had a 50s stove.  Petty neat.

Yes - I remember those days.  I'm a '54 baby also.  Funny thing, when I bought my house, in 2003, these refrigerater that I grew up with was in the house I bought!  The motor caught fire so iet has been replaced.  Also had an O'keefe and Merrit stove in a previous house.  LOVED that thing. But, it was definitely a tank.  Nostalgia fun for sure.

I remember most of these items except I’ve never seen the green roaster before.

My MIL still has a refrigerator like this in her finished basement. The cabinets, back door, tablecloth, checkered floor, & canisters remind me of our family kitchen growing up.

I still have those canisters. I just couldn't get rid of them. My mom was so happy to have them. Love the table cloth. I see them in antique stores all the time. We had a metal type cabinets. No wood.
