Anyone Have A Favorite Beige Color Paint?

Spoiler
I am painting my small bathroom with no window and want a beige as my  tiles are a beige with a very light terracotta throughout. It had wall paper and it was all peeling so off it came and the walls were  resurfaced and are now ready to paint. any suggestions? Thanks

I have Behr Parchment Paper throughout my home inside. I sampled so many beige colors and they all were either too yellow, too pink, too something. This beige looks beautiful with the lighting in my home. Good luck.

Porter paints - Happy Trails. It’s a warm tone beige. I love it! It’s in every room of my house. It’s perfect with my medium oak floors, which are also throughout my house.

Stone Hearth. Benjamin Moore. 👍🏻

and

Stone House. Also, Benjamin Moore.

Both pretty. Depends on your light exposure and floors.

In my home, Stone Hearth won. Has a touch of gray undertone versus touch of yellow undertone of Stone House,

Stone House is the warmer color of the two, I was actually surprised that one did work for my home as good as the Stone Hearth. Surprising even more, I am not a fan of gray anything to much to begin with, but this color really worked well in here,  It is definitely a beige and not a gray.

@cuddlesmama, All colors are tricky, beiges and tans can go very wrong and look nothing like they do in a store's lighting.  I could name a few that I have had experience with from Sherwin-Willilams, but I'm afraid to because they could be all wrong for your tiles.

I suggest, if you have the time, first bring home a bunch of the paper paint color chips / samples, and tape them on the wall next to the tiles.   When you find a couple that you think might be perfect, buy the small paint samples of those.

Paint the sample colors either on the wall, or onto poster boards, or even onto big squares cut from used cardboard boxes.  Look at those painted areas for a few days.  I sometimes love a color, but by day three, I hate it.  I have no idea why, but it's true.

Last tip, I've found that a room full of a color ends up looking darker than that color appears painted only on a smaller sample surface.

Re: Anyone Have A Favorite Beige Color Paint?

I tested several beiges as I was repainting last winter, and my favorite is Sourdough by Olympic.  I ended up using this color in several rooms.  I do agree with the posters who say that it really depends on your lighting.  There were several shades that I loved on the paint strip but hated once they were applied to the wall.

Most of my house is decorated with neutrals.  White kitchen cabinets, cream sofa and leather ottoman, etc.  But I also love color, so most of my accessories, including wall art, art quite colorful.  Sourdough seems to work as a good backdrop.

Here is Sourdough in my bedroom.  I really like it How it sets off the deep purple at the top of the sheer white panels.  I also love the contrast of white trim with this shade.

Good luck with your painting project.  I hope you find your perfect beige!4CDA9B7E-7280-43CE-9DC7-7C0D3AE3DD68.jpeg
