Duraflame has an upcoming TSV

I know as fall approaches (well on the calendar if not in the temperatures!) people often ask about Duraflame and a TSV.

There is one coming up in Saturday Sept. 29th.

Just thought I'd put it out on here for anyone that might be looking and thinking about upcoming colder weather.

I have no idea what it will be or the cost, but I guess the season is approaching!

Re: Duraflame has an upcoming TSV

My home office is at the end of the ductwork and is always hot in the summer, cold in the winter. About 4 winters ago I bought one of their heaters. Love that thing. I have little ones occasionally after school and the heaters are safe. Also a plus. The fake flame has vastly improved aesthetically, so may check out the new TSV.  My daughter would love to have mine for her family room.

@CANDLEQUEEN

These do make great gifts.

I"ve purchased several for my mom over the years, and I got my son one for his apartment last Christmas.

I personally own about 9 different Duraflames, from the mini ones, to lanterns, to the big stove ones. I have at least one for every room in the house (not that I run them all the time in all rooms) and even one in the basement for the super frigid weather to make it more comfortable for my cats, who sleep down there at night.

I still wonder what I did without these things!

@Mominohio. wOW! You must really love them. I did actually purchase one years ago for my mom and dad and it did last for a long time, but now my dad is gone, and my mom is always cold even thoguh she has a real wood burning fireplace, sometimes you don't want the hassle of lighting a fire, so i think she will love this!

What are your thoughts?  Higher priced than last year's by about $60 and no free shipping Smiley Sad  Looks the same although the remote functions are improved and it says it is infragen not just the infrared.

I am going to order anyway because I need a second one but I'm not nearly as excited about it as I would be if it were the same <$100 one I purchased last December and half the shipping cost.

Re: Duraflame has an upcoming TSV

We have 2 Duraflame Heaters in our home.  We love them!!!

It will be two years since we purchased ours this coming January.  Although I don't find them to heat up a space exactly as claimed, they do add warmth and ambiance.  We keep one in our playroom.  The playroom is toward the back of the main floor and is surrounded by windows and has the door to our attached garaged.  That room is the coldest in winter (and hottest in summer).  The Duraflame really helps to make the space cozy and warm for the girls since they spend a lot of time in there.  It's also very pretty to look at and completely safe. I have no worries with it on.

Here is what I think so far, without a presentation to go on.

Pricey! Way more than most TSV's from them and high shipping too.

But.....

It has new technology that I'm wondering if it will make more heat (heat a bigger space or heat the space more degrees).

It has a thermostat. Many of their recent ones (most of them actually) have not had this and people were asking for it.

It has a timer, another feature they don't always put on them, but people ask for.

3D flame effect is an upgrade over some past offerings.

Night mode, which I don't know what that means, but I don't recall ever seeing it on one of their stoves.

The style isn't for me, but I think will be popular and pleasing to many others. I find the front plain glass and the straight legs with no design to be more modern, but I think a lot of people will like those features.

I'm held back based on the design/look of this one. I'd have probably paid the price had the style been different and more to my liking. That said, I'm guessing it might be very popular and sell well.

The price and shipping might drive a lot of people away though.

Not wild about the look. The style is so boxy and the color choices nothing special. Don't need all those features and frankly, they claim to improve them every year but let's face it, there's only so much you can do to make a fake flame look real... I'd prefer they go back a few years, offering more color choices and a less stark design at a lower price. And for heaven's sake, do something about that shipping.  For me, they can ring up a big NO SALE with this one...
