Does anyone here like Amber glassware?  I have a few pieces of my mom's and have added a few purchased at yard sales and antique stores.  I like to use them in the fall.

I have two pieces that are amber glass.  They were my grandmother's, from the 1960s I think.  I agree, they look nice mixed with other Fall things.

One similar to this, but the base is perfectly round:

And one of these little jars:

I love amber glassware.  I have eight footed water glasses that were passed down from my mother.  They are beautiful and are quite heavy as well.  I too love to use mine in the fall with my white dishes and fall decor.  I think she purchased these in the 1950's.

I have to admit, that the last couple of decades, I had gotten past anything that reminded me of 1970's avocado and gold.

But in the last year or two, I've 'rediscovered' those colors and am back in tune with them. I like them in fashion, and in seasonal home decor. Perfect for fall.

I even purchased a vintage 70's pitcher and drinking glass set from ebay in amber (gold).

Not being a fan of most shades of green, I don't know that I will ever develop a love for 70s avocado.  I finally did warm up to light sage green walls, etc. but it took me years, and only after the trend seemed to be over did I start liking it.  I feel the same about harvest gold, as in the appliance color.  I don't have the same strong feelings against touches of amber glass, though.  I like it.

My mother's pieces were an amber relish tray and a chip/dip combined. A few years ago, I bought 8 glasses from Walmart and a pumpkin jar.  My kitchen is yellow and blue so I actually keep the pumpkin jar out year round with my keurig k-cups in it!  I also have a vase and candleholders that is on the dining table in the fall.
