Re: Advice needed wallpaper, Modge Podge, curio cabinet

Here is the cabinet filled with teacups and a few treasures.  Mr. Wonderful installed the new light and wired the cabinet to the wall.

That's really nice!  I have a crystal bowl just like yours on the bottom shelf.

I love that bowl, I brought the bowl to my mother from Germany more than 30 years ago.  When she passed it came to me.

Very nicely done. I just love to see someone give an old piece of furniture a new life.

Re: Advice needed wallpaper, Modge Podge, curio cabinet

I have a couple pieces I am in need of redoing. One is a vanity I bought for $9 at a resale shop when we moved to Fl. It is painted and the paint was not good. Has yellowed and easily scratched. I need to strip it to see what wood it's made from then decide how I'll finish it.I also inherited a antique mission style rocking chair. The wood finish is all worn on the arms and the springs are bad and I hate the fabric on the seat. I think it will need to be professionally redone because I don't know how to repair the springs. I'm sure from my research online that it once had a leather seat so I'd like to give it a leather seat again.
