I love Americana, and not just for Independence Day.  A traditional porch decorated for the holiday is so cheery.

The clean, ever-fresh graphic beauty of Old Glory.

A red, white and blue scheme can be quite subtle.

Americana doesn't have to mean red, white and blue, of course.  This warm, homespun Americana kitchen doesn't really have red--  except maybe the barn red window and door trim?

Cozy dining room and bedroom.

This beach house bathroom with its lustrous deep blue tile and fresh white walls, could be brought into Americana so strikingly with the addition just a few of thick, luxuriant red towels, I thought....

A collected, Ralph Lauren spin on the look.  Too layered and over-stimulating for me personally, but I do like eclecticism, just quite a bit less of it.

Comforting simplicity in a bedroom.

Americana, or red white and blue, doesn't have to be "naive".   This room uses the designer trick of adding black to the mix--  very sophisticated.

Interior designer William McClure's famously wild red, white and blue living room.  LOVE the painted floors.

That portrait always reminds me of Brando, for some reason!   I could not have red walls, but I can admire this bold vision, from a distance...

This might be my favorite of all!  The red white and blue is subtly applied, in pillows, throws and the faded rug.

Wishing a happy and peaceful Fourth to all!

I enjoyed the rooms, all have such appeal in decor, art work and furnishings.  I love the kitchen, the spacious room with the flag over the mantle, bright and comfortable looking.  The beauty of the painting in the entry way and the rug welcome me!!!  The blue patterned chairs are lovely and the porch looks so restful!  These designs are stand outs.

Have a very nice Fourth of July no matter what you choose to do!

Love this....a patriotic theme that is so fresh and livable.  I want that rug in the third photo.

All of them look very American to me.  The front porch looks so inviting.

I love the first pic of the porch.  I would be happy sitting there on that swing with a glass of lemonade and a good book!

What a lovely stroll, many thanks!

I totally love the dinning room with the Windsor chairs!

I love the room with black.

There were several other pics I liked, but the Lauren influence room is an impending headache, although, the elements are quite nice!
