1) Intentionally almost under-furnished, a subtle living room. Love those ethereal blue walls, the high wainscoting, patterned but not overbearing rug, Swedish-looking chandelier, and the lovely exotic little inlaid side tables. The large blue pillows look extra comfy. I'd never tire of this room by Lee Ann Thornton. Maybe I'd add one major piece of art, a landscape. I think this is in historic Belle Mead, New Jersey.
This thread says "living rooms", but can't resist showing the breakfast nook in the same house-- so cute:
2) Talented mother daughter team, whom I've posted before, "McGrath II". This Connecticut living room has my other fave wall color, hazy green, and that mysterious forest art work. The tangy, overstuffed saffron couch looks so comfortable, and gives that zap of citrus zest to the otherwise soft palette.
Edited to add-- I'm not sure why that first green living room came out blurry -- is it blurry on your monitor? Trying again:
Hmmm, the mysterious forest might be ever so slightly 'scary'. The longer I look at it, the more I question its placement right over the couch. I do like sepia tones though. Love the two different, but complementary, window treatments, seen in the first blurry McGrath photo.
3) From design team Giannetti Homes, the partnership of architect and designer Steve and Brooke Giannetti, this serene California living room. For me, the refreshing green is a long drink of water, enlivened by contemporary art, and an "edited" decor. (I couldn't be that "lean" in restricting objects, but sometimes find it very restful.)
Love the way they mixed in antiques, like the tea table as an end table, and the round table in the distance.
The Giannettis have such a neat way of combining both relaxed and formal elements, and the simple, with the more ornate. Here's a room they did in a historic house in France:

The only one I sorta like is the last picture of the dining room.

Don't like any of them. Way too formal and stuffy and cluttered for me.

I really like the first one -- love the zebra print with the light blue!

I like the green one better and I like the spooky forest picture.

NO to all.
These types of pictures show off homes and rooms that are built/decorated to show off, and a lifestyle that is not mine.
My house was built to raise a family and still reflects that a family lives here, which is exactly how I want it. I never want the rooms in this house to be staged for magazine photos.

The overall style is just not remotely close to my personal taste and I'm having trouble coming up with even one piece of furniture that I really like.
Again, I do really appreciate your effort in providing these rooms/homes for us to look over!!

I don't care for any of them. Do people really live like that? Even if I had the money to do so, that wouldn't be for me.

I love the pretty soft blue paired with animal print. I am not a big fan of coffee tables but I do like this.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM ALL!
I have been fortunate to have always had both a living room and a den/playroom. To be clear we did use the living room often, when my kids were young, but each room had it's own function. (My youngest is 23 now).
Interesting that what some see as "stuffy" or "staged" others, like myself, see as "updated, yet classic". Those rooms are so restful and beautiful.
Thanks so much, Oznell, for sharing!
