I love to wrap and make bows.  I usually have it all done a couple of weeks before Christmas.

Re: Wrapping Presents

I love the wrapping also. My poor dh, though, has two left hands, but I give him credit for trying. His packages are such a mess, it's actually cute. I left out gift bags and a roll of paper to help him out. He loved the gift bags. LOL

I have a love/hate relationship with wrapping gifts.Woman LOL  I love the final result though, it just takes time!  I lock myself in our bedroom, put on a good Christmas movie, and get it done.  I like to always have a red plaid paper as my main design and add in other colored paper.  I like to use ribbon, or yarn with a homemade pompom for the packages.

I HATE wrapping presents....always have.  My 3 girls liked it when Santa wrapped their presents...(this is Santa).  My late husband sat next to me wrapping (one present an hour).  Ha!  I'd say, "They just want it covered up".  He'd say, "But they need to look good".

Then when my girls discovered the 'secret about Santa" and they could go directly to Santa they let it be known they'd like to see ALL gifts wrapped!  Even made me feel guilty.

The funny thing was my late husband only shopped on Christmas Eve for whatever I put on my list I couldn't find and my gifts.  So, he never saw any of the gifts Santa brought.

I think that's also why he didn't want to wrap/see them ahead of time.  You should see the videos (all 20 some years worth Ha!).  He sits down the camera and he has as many OHHHH's and Ahhhhh's as the girls do.  I'd hear, "Let me see that"..."Wow!  That's neat".  And they'd all be genuine.  It didn't bother me because after we had children we were able to give them the kind of childhood we used to dream about having when we were kids.  We both had terrible childhoods and for 7 years we waited til the time was right, always talking and planning.  This was his thing (Christmas and seeing his girls happy).  So I wrapped, and wrapped and.......

I wrap gifts as I buy them so when I started buying in early fall, I wrapped them. I don't mind wrappy Christmas gifts because it actually relaxes me.
