My job for the next few hours is wrapping presents.  I told myself to get it done and then I can relax for the rest of the day.  Our family celebration is tomorrow at my niece's house.

I think wrapping is just the worst!  You just want to get it done!

@Catty2

Hopefully you are done by now!

I love to wrap, but I do it very early, the last few years keeping up as I bring things home. I'm usually finished with wrapping by Thanksgiving or shortly after.

I like to look at all the pretty gifts for a few weeks before they are torn apart!

Enjoy your family gathering tomorrow.

If I still exchanged gifts,  which I don't,  I buy some pretty Christmas-themed fabric,  and in the dog days of summer, I'd sew a bunch of fabric gift bags with long bright ribbons.   Should it ever be necessary,  they could even be laundered.   They could become heirlooms,  used year after year.  This would be a lot of fun for me.

I usually like to wrap gifts, but it's been tough the last couple years.  I put it off until it's a chore and there's a deadline. I like to buy my niece and nephew a bunch of gifts and wrap each one separately.  This year, I put them all in one box separated by tissue paper.  I mailed it to them, so the box wasn't even wrapped.  I'll get better organized next year.  Smiley Happy

I love to wrap and put different ribbon and paper together.  Current Stationary has paper that easily rivals Hallmark's paper, often I buy more from them than Hallmark!  They also have matching tissue and name tags.  Around the holidays, it's usually free ship too!

Is it a Thing, when friends/family mail you your Xmas prsents now, to leave them completely unwrapped and just stuffed in a Priority Mail box so they all fit? We had two boxes mailed from two different states that we opened early because we had no idea that neither of the boxes would have anything wrapped. Weird.

In looking at all the gifts underneath the tree its quite evident where I started and ended with wrapping them. I started out with color coordinating the paper with the person and they were wrapped with precision. Haha! Near the end I was using bits and pieces of paper taped together and slapping a name tag on! Its the thought that counts. Woman Happy
