I usually decorate either the weekend before Thanksgiving or the weekend of Thanksgiving.
Since Thanksgiving seems late this year, I might even decorate on November 17th.
We do our outdoor decorating in early November.
Looking forward to all of it!

My plan is - of course, my plan may change due to health issues of DH and I --- to start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. This is what I usually do. A few years ago I would get it all done in one day. Now it takes me a couple to do the decorating and then another to do the tree! And - it takes me a couple days to recooperate! Whew!

Trucker daughter already plans to have the front porch decorations out and ready to turn on the weekend after Thanksgiving. I'll put the garden flag outside, wreath on the front door, hang the kitchen towels, put the holiday tablecloth on the dining room table, and consider my decorating for Christmas is done on December 1st.
I love to look at Christmas decorations, but cannot deal with being surrounded by them in my house for weeks. My eyes see it as visual clutter. I can tolerate small displays inside for a short amount of time.

I try to have everything done Thanksgiving weekend. DH also is having health issues so I may not do much. We downsized our tree last year and gave the kids a lot of decor but will decorate for the grandkids. I have everything put back away by the 26th and sometimes start Christmas night because by then I'm done looking at it and want my house back in order.

After I get home from Thanksgiving visit with family. Probably 1st week of December not sure how much I'll decorate as I'm going away for the Christmas holiday.

Two weeks before Thanksgiving is the deadline to finish. After that, it isn't up long enough to warrant the work. Husband may or may not put up the 12ft tree inside. May not!
We don't do much outdoors any more since we moved. Everyone around us goes all out. The nativity scenes inside are out, and I'm finished although we will get out some Christmas dishes.

I've traditionally started decorating the Monday before Thanksgiving so everything's up and ready for Thanksgiving. With a later Thanksgiving this year, I'm planning to move everything up a week and I'll start decorating on the 18th. Depending on my mood between now and then I might even start a little sooner.
It's going to be an interesting Christmas as this is my first Christmas with Slate, my new cat. He's three and a half years old, so I don't know what he's seen before in terms of Christmas. He doesn't give tree-climber vibe which is good, but I suspect the lower ornaments will get abused a bit, which is why I put the unbreakable stuff down lower. He's going to have a lot of fun helping me get everything out and decorate. He hasn't been in the storage closet yet, so that'll impress and entertain him.

I usually decorate the wk end after Thgiving. I used to decorate anything that didn't move, but have slowed down. Just can't do it physically any more.
I leave most of mine up until winter is over. A lot of it is winter decor any way. The lights light up the dreary winter.

Just can't get into Christmas without celebrating Thanksgiving; it seems to have been forgotten completely by so many that it is sad to me. Retailers now go from a bit of July 4th, straight to Halloween, and then straight to Christmas (which revs up on Q in July). Thanksgiving is just a few pumpkins or front porch things for retailers. I guess it is all about Christmas because it is the big money. We will put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I decorate about December 1st or so. And I take it down shortly after Christmas. I love Christmas, but only at Christmastime.
