@Kachina624  I'm a traditional red and green colors for Christmas, but if you love purple it's very pretty and elegantly done.

I am old but I grew up with silver sprayed cedar trees or white flocked, cool colored twinkle lights, and a tree with aqua blue and magenta mostly color for the assorted old old glass balls on it.  

So no, red and green just don't do it for me.  It doesn't say Christmas really and I do not like the color combination to begin with.

It's lovely and everything is so coordinated right down to the wrapped presents and candles.  My tree is rust, silver and white and goes perfectly with my decor, but I could see this as a second tree.  Nicely done.

WOW!  That's quite a room.  Too much purple for me.  I am still decorating with red and green.  My ornaments are mostly Christopher Radko.  I won't ever change.  I grew up in the 50's where my mom bought one of those aluminum trees with the rotating light.  What a creepy tree.

Christmas was an important category for the stores & catalogue I was a Buyer for. One year I used purple in one of the several Christmas deco sections/trees, but it was in combination with red. The theme was woodsy or fairytale-like. I think the purple in the image is okay, but purple is not a favorite color of mine. Some people love purple & would like the tree more.

@Biftu.  I can't help wonder what happens when a guest shows up with a bunch of green and red wrapped gifts which obviously clash with the designated decor.
