I got the tsv pumpkins, they are beautiful, however anybody else noticed how they eat batteries? Maybe it's the batteries I use, not sure. Just wondering if anyone else notices

@willomenia.  I don't understand why Valerie can't use rechargeable batteries in her illuminated things.  Almost everyone is using rechargables nowdays.

@willomenia

The VPH items I've purchased in the past have gone through batteries very quickly.

Last ones I ordered, the harlequin spheres the batteries have barely lasted 3 weeks.

I'm not sure what they were but I think anything that has movement, like flickering, will eat up batteries very quickly. My Luminara candles go through batteries much faster than the ones with a stationary flame. The little fairy lights that twinkle or dance or whatever they do ate up batteries so quickly that I ended up tossing them.

I wish they could give us choices of rechargeable or for some the ability to plug in the light up decor.  Some of the larger pieces would be easier if the could just be left plugged in. I cover my mantle with light up pumpkins but the very large ones are left on side tables and the hearthstone. I would prefer to plug in the big ones and not use 3 or 4 D batteries.

@willomena
I have the pumpkins too, I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that the battery life in them is poor- nothing is quality as it used to be! I used Duracell in both and used the timer feature, after 3 weeks they stopped working. Disappointing that a seasonal item didn’t work for a season, I feel bad, I got a set for my daughters and now they have to keep spending on batteries. I wish VOH would stop items being in multiples and keep the cost fair for 1, let the buyer decide if we want more!

Re: Valeries starry pumpkins

I have several sets of the pumpkins. When did we get them? Mid-August? Mine are still twinkling. Not as bright but still working. I use Energizer.

I figured when I got them I would have to change batteries after a month so they have lasted longer than I expected. Small batteries with lighting functions will not last as long as a larger battery and I knew that when I ordered. I really like these pumpkins and hope they come back next year with the gourds. They are so pretty!

Re: Valeries starry pumpkins

I only put the timer function this weekend.  I guess I'll see how long mine lasts.  I definitely want to use them till Dec 1.
