I have that same tree. It belonged to my late mother and now is mine. It still has all the ornaments and lights on it that she had used. I"m not sure how old it is, but she passed the week before Christmas, 2014.

The signage above the store is Dollar General, however it's listed online as Dollar Tree.

They do have two sizes of white trees, 4ft and 3 ft .
Each size is marked $5.00. The 3 ft has lights and is $5.00.
I'm moving to Strasbourg France.
Last year I posted about losing my dear twin sister. We had our visas in our passports giving approval for us to move and live there. I lost her before our move.
I've been given approval to take my dear sister's ashes and our dear mom's ashes.
Of course, My Reilley is accompanying me, he goes where I go.
Scared, yep. It will more than likely be my last BIG adventure.

Yes, I knew about your sweet twin sister's passing but I hadn't heard about your move to Strasbourg France.
Wow, what an absolutely fantastically fun adventure you're about to embark on. I have so many questions because this is a dream of mine.
Have you lived there before? Do you have relatives or friends there?
I'm just so excited for you and Reilley!
I don't know when you're leaving but I know you probably have your hands full with getting everything in order before you go.
I wish you and Reilley well and so much happiness on ya'll's new adventure and home! I hope it's all you imagine and more.
Happy travels and please keep us updated!

What an exciting adventure, but also scary. I wish you well on this great adventure to fulfill a dream you had with your twin sister. And envy your courage. How did you settle on this area?

Deb and I started traveling to France in 2001 and after she retired at least twice a year, sometimes for as long as 6 weeks each time.
France is our favorite and Strasbourg because it has several hospitals and a university hospital. We knew we would become old and would have medical issues and needs.
We have several friends in France and a very dear one in Strasbourg. She's much younger, however, we seemed to click and she has adopted us. She lost a dear sister within a few months of my dear Deb.
Sandra has made all the arrangements to bring my dear Deb's ashes and mom's ashes with me and My Reilley.
I won't be ready and able to leave until my tax returns are completed. There is so much to do, I'm exhausted thinking about it..
Earlier this year I went through so much grief and still am, I stopped everything and now need to make up for lost time.
I changed my name legally to my maiden name to match my dear sister's, she was smart-she never changed her last name after marriage.
Sandra will help with finding me a large studio or one bedroom apartment. She's French and knows how to navigate the bureaucracy and will introduce me to her bank manager to open up a bank account and all utilities and phone service.
I'll keep in touch and post photos of myself and My Reilley, getting ready to leave and arriving.

Thanks for sharing that.
Your sister Deb and your mom would be so proud of you. What a lovely and sweet way to honor them both.
It sounds like you have it all figured out with the help of your special friend. It's nice that you'll have Sandra, who sounds more like a sister in spirit since you both lost your dear sisters.
What a brave thing to do....you are going to live your dream.
I can imagine you do have your hands full, there would be so much to do but just concentrate on your end game....soon all this mess will be done and over with and you and Reilley and Sandra will be sitting in a lovely French cafe enjoying a french baguette sipping on French bubbly water.....ohh LaLa I can see it now!
I wish you and Reilley all the best on your new adventure and please do share it with us! I'm so jealous! haha![]()

My hat is off to you, that's wonderful and I know you will be successful in achieving that life you are planning. Having an anchor is so important but I have a feeling that you have a very special guardian that will be with you for your new life.
