$5.00 of nothing fancy.

How many of you remember the old faux Christmas trees from 30-50 years ago?

I believe most of us had one or more.

We thought they were gorgeous after we decorated them.

On the Q there are so many beautiful trees which most (myself  included) of us cannot afford or will spend $$$$.

I've been searching for a non pre lit tree, one that is under 5 ft tall.
'I searched Balsam Hill and Amazon. Lowe's has beautiful trees a fraction of the cost of Q.

Yesterday I was walking My Reilley in a shopping center a few blocks from our home

I decided to go into the Dollar store, /I can't remember the name. I'll post it later today.

I'm 74 and will be moving out of the country and wanted a non pre lit tree.

I found this one for $5.00. There was also a 3ft pre  lit tree,

After I fluffed it and still need to fluff it more, it's not a bad looking tree. It looks like so many from decades ago and after decorating it, it will be pretty and with lights on it, it may be prettier than Charly Brown's tree.

Excuse my mess, I'm in the process of prepping for interior painting.

I decided it's so inexpensive I can use it and after donate it or toss it.

It's 4ft tall and narrow.

I forgot to mention, there's also both white pre lit and non lit trees in 4t and 3 ft.

I still have a couple of those!   They are outside in "dark corners" where nothing else will grow.

@Alsace Gal,

I think it's beautiful.

My mil who was a best friend  made us a little faux tree with decorations. It was about 18 inches high. I Put it up every Christmas. I don't want another tree because this one is the best, made with love.Heart

My MIL still has one.  Keeps it decorated.  Throws a large bag over it and stores it.  Every Christmas she just takes it out, pulls off the bag and she's ready to go.

I had a tree about the size you mentioned. I decorated for my dear twin sister-with her Banana Bob earings.

She loved it.

I did the same as your MIL, I hung it in the attic.

@Alsace Gal,

Aww banana Bob earringsSmiley HappyHeart

We did have bigger trees throughout the years but now I just like the little one I have from my mil. Our cat loved to sit under it too. I think she considered it HER tree, as cats doWoman LOL, and the bed and the couch too! as another thread mentioned.Cat Very Happy

I would leave it up for her way past Christmas.Heart I loved watching her love that tree! Heart

@Alsace Gal

Moving out of the country? Where, if you don't mind my asking?

I'd love to move to France or some other European country!

Nice tree, for a nice price. I think I'll look for the white one you mentioned next time I'm out and about.....
