I saw a nice looking Nativity scene for sale yesterday.  ZIt's about 3 feet high and it's only a silouette, not actual pieces.  I know many take offense at such a symbol but I thin it's pretty and I wouldn't mind having and display it.

Any thoughts?

@Puzzle Piece    I think nativity scenes are beautiful!  If I wanted it, I'd certainly get it and not think anything about it. I can't imagine why anyone would be offended...I see them displayed often.

I have a beautiful Nativity with Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus, 3 wise men, a shephard and two lambs, a donkey, camel and ox and two angels and a stable.  Colored in beautiful pastel colors.

Also have a small one without the animals and shephard.  Both are displayed at Christmas.

My friend has a large white porcelain Nativity trimmed in gold which she displays on the top of a large, high china cabinet.  She leaves it there all year.

@Puzzle Piece If it is a symbol of your faith and meaningful to you in that way, I would certainly display it.  If it isn't, then absolutely not.

@Puzzle Piece I don't understand why anyone would take offense at a nativity scene since that is what Christmas is celebrating.

If you like it, buy it.

If they're your friend, they shouldn't take any offence.

Have what you like in your home and enjoy.
