I often try to buy gifts for next year during the after Christmas sales. I was looking online today and saw some sales but nothing more than the pre-holiday prices. I think a lot of retailers don’t do the deep discounts for a few weeks after the holidays. I’m guessing that may be due to them expecting purchases from gift cards. If anyone comes across a substantially reduced item, any category, please post it. Thank you in advance!

@Natureluvr

I agree the deep discounts don't seem to be there this after Christmas period.  I'm glad in a way as I would rather spend my $ on organizational items which are discounted now.

Looking back at some Black Friday purchases in 2023, the sales were way in advance of the actual traditional Black Friday.  Also saw the Rakuten & MrRebates % off and they were high and coincided with those sales.

Some bargains were had then, I remember last year same thing but discounts didn't seem so deep as this year.

@Natureluvr I did take advantage of the Bath and Body Works Semi Annual Sale.  Selcet hand soaps were under 4.00 and three wick candles were under 12.00.  I also got a candle holder for 15.00.

I also took advantage of Bath and Body Works sale. I have enough stuff to last me at least a year.

I think the better deals are in the store right after Christmas. Got some nice

blankets, socks, candles and more 50% to 75% off. Found a Goose Creek

candle in Walmart for $6, love that brand.

Be careful about buying BATH AND BODY WORKS stuff.

The candles and plug ins will keep for a few years, but the lotions and soaps get an off odor and they stink if you don't use them promply.

I had to throw out liquid hand soap and body lotion that was never opened...still sealed.  The smell was so bad.   They don't keep very well.

Post-Christmas sales are nothing like those years before,

the stores I have been to since Christmas are cleaned out of the holiday things

so inventory controls are pretty good

I don't do  any after Xmas sales anymore---don't need anything at all. And I give $$ for gifts for Xmas so that is easy

I used to buy my cards for the next year after Christmas.  None to be found.  Maybe people are getting less and less real cards.

I got a box of 16 Hallmark Christmas cards for half price at CVS, I do that every year. Last year I got a box there at 75% off, but this year there was only one box that I liked so I bought them.
