I noticed that Valerie has a USB charger for her glittering snowflake snow globe. I ordered one, because the old one eats batteries. Today, Rick had a set of 2 Home Bliss flameless candles with a recharging base.

I have a lot of lighted decor, but I would definitely like to replace much of it with rechargeable. What do you think?

@PA Mom-mom I'm not sure how I feel about it. I guess, it depends on how long the charge would last for. Did they say that in the presentation? It does seem that batteries need to be replaced more often than they did in the past, not exactly sure why that is. Are the batteries of lesser quality? Are the products themselves of lesser quality? Or maybe both?
It does though seem easier to me and better to replace batteries than to move the item to have to charge it.
I do wish that when they provide usb charging cables with items that they would include the wall plug too.

I too have this debate going on in my head.
The usb type charger can be inconvenient...as mentioned because one has to move the object.
That chargeable base for the candles might work.
As someone mentioned, it depends upon how long it holds a charge.
I have two of the greatest magnetic puck lights under the kitchen cabinets...and since they are usb powered I just leave them plugged into the outlet, which has an additional usb adapter in the regular plug.
COMPLICATED!

@moonandthestars The product rep said the charge lasts about 440 hours for the candles that were on today. But, she didn't clarify the brightness or the timer length. However, she said you could just leave them on the base.

Got some lights from the Scott Brothers that have both choices. I use batteries because I'm not going to move them.

@LTT1 I have outlets under my windows. I had them installed when we built our home at my SIL's insistence. Back then, candles were all plug ins. So, that means I could charge the window candles easily. For that matter, to replace the batteries in most things, you still have to move them to a point.

I have so many USB plugins that I don't care if they don't send them. I don't particularly care for corded items. Val’s snow globes can be either battery or plug in and I prefer battery but they don't work as well on battery. Big disappointment for me.
