love that fireplace screen . Do you think it can be used in front if a gas fireplace as well as a regular wood burning which I'm sure it was Intended for ? Would love it but wondered if it would look silly with a gas fireplace .

@Kitty Galore Why would it look silly? We use log sets in gas fireplaces.

Not at all. My gas fireplace is too high for it.

Oh, I see. You mean you already have a glass screen in front of your fire. I can see where that might look a little odd. I don't have any screen in front of my gas fireplace.

@Marsha2003. Yes that's why I'm thinking it wouldn't work. Our fireplace e is all sealed with glass.

I have a gas fireplace with glass in front and I am definitely getting this screen. I just think it adds the perfect touch, instead of looking at just the glass. It will add the perfect decorative touch while still being able to see the flames. I think you should give it a try. I have one of Valerie's fireplace screens from about 10'years ago I think. It has a crackled Finish with flowers on it. You could not see through it, so it had to be removed when the fireplace was lit. I still have that in front of my fireplace. I use it all summer and fall or until I start using the fireplace. That's why I jumped on this one. It will really add the perfect elegant touch to a gas fireplace with glass in front. In fact I honestly think it would look better than looking at the plain glass. It will jaz it right up. Those are my thoughts anyway. After I get I get it I will post a review as to how it worked out for me.

When I have a fire in my gas fireplace I always leave the glass doors open. I want the heat in the room, not up the chimney.

@Kachina624. Our glass doors are fixed they do not open . The heat comes through the vents on the fireplace.
