@Ms X , Well, it sounds like a great idea, but due to my schedule of having to get certain tasks done throughout the month of January, it just wouldn't work.
My basic schedule is the holiday decor comes down the day after New Year's Day. Then I do a complete thorough cleaning of the house...room to room...about a 10-14 day process. I then shampoo all the carpets and put out the Spring decor in our livingroom and kitchen about the 3rd week of January.
Then I start planning our gardens...winter sowing seeds and setting up our greenhouse in the basement the last week of January.
Everything from that point on is preparing for feeding our birds in the Spring and preparing our gardens. It no doubt seems silly for most to think about putting out Spring decor at the end of January, but for me it makes complete sense.
Whatever spare time I have, it is usually put into couponing and setting up our charity boxes in the basement too....which we do drop offs throughout the year when we have time.
I will have some birds out for Spring/Summer decor/vignettes, but not the Snowy Owls
@lucymo Did you post any pics of your decor? When I have some extra time, I will have to go through some of the old threads to get caught up on some stuff here...just feels daunting since I have been away for a couple of months! If you did post pics already, can you post the link for me? I'd love to see them
@Susan Louise Hi SL, been a long time. No, I haven't posted any pics so far. I have been so busy that I haven't been on here much for awhile and really haven't taken any pics of our decor. If I can I will see what I can do soon. I am enjoying seeing yours. Your schedule sounds like something I need to adopt, very planned and doable. Great to see you back on here, really missed you.

So happy to see your posts, @Susan Louise
And everything is lovely, charming, and inviting.
I'm a fan of the picks in Christmas trees, and yours look especially nice. I also love your buffalo check reindeer. Well, just everything. I'd have to list it all one by one. Great job. I wish I had your energy!
Have a wonderful, wonderful Christmas.
I love that you plan for the birds in your area. First I heard him and then I looked up and saw a flicker pecking away at a stucco house wall under some eaves today. I believe he was looking for insects.

Your house looks stunning. Those pictures should be in a home magazine. You do have a special talent. Now sit back and enjoy it all. Merry Christmas.

Everything looks very pretty, @Susan Louise. I thought your mini cedars were real from a nursery, until I read otherwise. :-) They look so nice (and real) in your displays.

@susan Louise, just beautiful, very tastefully done. I especially loved the top of pantry and fridge. Thanks for posting your photos.

Very pretty and I esp. love that little owl on the right!

So pretty! Do you mind me asking -- where did you get the 3 pieces that look like glass bowls decorated with deer and are lit up? I just adore them.

Love your tree! I see you are a fan of owls. They are darling.

Your vignettes are just beautiful I I especially like the top of the fridge and the tree!

I am so glad to see you back here!
What a beautiful Christmas setting you have made in your house!
I have the owls and some of the other things you have, and you did it more splendid than I could ever think of. I really like the red lantern on the fridge with owls. My owls were put back into the storage box.
Those plaid reindeer are so cute!
If I could post photos, I wouldn't because my stuff is so simple.
