Working outside without the heat and humidity.   In fact doing anything outside once the heat and humidity leaves.

And concord grapes come in season September/October.  I'll sit and eat away until I almost make myself sick.

Taking walks with dog and DH in COOL weather, no humidity, breezy and no bugs is an extra bonus!

For The last 2 years, there are constant little bugs flying around my face whenever I walk the dog in my neighborhood, which is pretty rural and wooded. Hate the bugs.

I'm looking forward to walks in the crisp air, hearing the crunch of leaves under my feet, the beautiful autumn colored leaves on the trees, picking apples at the local orchards, seeing mums and pumpkins everywhere, the baseball playoffs and World Series, comfort foods such as chili, pot roast and homemade pie, seeing the school buses on the road again, decorating for fall,  wearing my boots and jeans, no more air conditioning, carving a jack-o-lantern around Halloween, Thanksgiving not long after that....can you tell I LOVE Fall?!!!

• Not seeing snakes as often
• Being able to work and just enjoy the outdoors again without the stress of excess heat & humidity 
• Seeing what shows up new in Pumpkin Spice flavor in stores.

Taking my granddaughter to a local apple orchard. When we get home, she wants to help me make some pies. She's so excited!

Later in October, I'm going to create these pumpkins again, but think I'll paint scrolls on the larger pumpkin gold.

Drinking my morning coffee out on the back deck.

Baking banana nut bread to go along with that coffee.

Told my my husband when it cools off, I would try my hand at fishing again with him. 🎣

Going to Starbucks and get my Pumpkin Spice Latte. Thats the ONLY Fall thing I have here. I live in Hawaii. Summer year round. Well, the end of October it gets a little cooler , but thats it. I do have to say I really miss Fall. Not Winter. But Fall. I wish I could just fly to the Mainland and spent September, October and maybe a little of November each year somewere on the Mainland.

 And rigtht before Winter arrives , I would fly back to Hawaii.

I love Fall on Long Island!  We enjoy doing so many things, so I can't pick just one. 

I'm looking forward to:

Apple Picking (we do this upstate)

Pumpkin Picking

Going to various farms for special events

Fall Festivals

Planting Mums

Going to our local nursery -  They have huge fall events for kids and adults.

Making applesauce and apple pie

Fall decorating (of course!)

Looking at the change in leaves

Carving Pumpkins

Halloween/Thanksgiving

Cooler Weather

EVERYTHING!
