Re: FAMOUS DINNERWARE PATTERNS

What a beautiful place setting you have, @Marsha2003 ,  with those pale green glasses!  Everything looks so great together.

Thanks for the tip, @Sooner ,  I had forgotten the Silversuperstore--  fun to browse...

I don't know if Castleton is the maker of any of them, @Group 5 minus 1 ,  but it's certainly possible.

@jannabelle1 ,  oh boy, I'd love to have "Autumn" too, under ideal circumstances!

Re: FAMOUS DINNERWARE PATTERNS

I had so many sets (eek! ) I got rid of most of it when I moved and kept only a few favorites.

My favorite is probably Spode Woodland. 🤎

Re: FAMOUS DINNERWARE PATTERNS

I enjoy seeing all the various patterns of china.

I currently own Lenox "Solitaire" in platinum from the Presidential collection.  It's like the china used on Air Force One but not the golden rimmed one.

I had Repousse flatware as well.  I sold the flatware as now I won't be using it and I've only kept the china.

Just memories.

@Puzzle Piece ,  oh, I like "Solitaire" too-- so sleek and sophisticated. You can go so many different directions with it:

Johnson Brothers Friendly Village for us.  I kept them from my Mother and have added a few extra pieces over the years.  It has a "homey" feeling I think.

@4kitties  and @Oznell :

Love Johnson Brothers Friendly Village, it is one of my favorites.  Have some pieces (made in England).  Love snow scenes.

Also love Johnson Brothers Heritage Hall (made in England), it is another one of my favorites.  Have several pieces that my mom gave me after she got other dishware.

Thanks, @Oznell .  Also have an English Ironstone Tableware coaster, Dickens series, like the one below.  Love everything about it, especially the moody sky:

Re: FAMOUS DINNERWARE PATTERNS

I was born and raised in a small town where Castleton china was manuf. We even had membership cards as "plate flippers". That was where when you looked at a piece of china you would flip it over to see manuf. I still to this day do that!

Oh and if you had a job at the "pottery" it was a "good" job.
