Has anyone purchased these puzzle boxes? What's the quality like, in person?  Does the "key" stay in place and remove smoothly?  Is opening complicated?

I'm looking for a new and clever way to present a few smaller sized gifts this year.

@JeanLouiseFinch @JoJoKitty

I've bought a couple of these and they're very high quality! They're unique and excellent carving!

If you're looking for a puzzle box that's hard to figure out, this isn't it.

Q used to carry a couple of plastic puzzle boxes, that were much more of a challenge to figure out how to open, but I haven't checked to see if they still have them here.

@KingstonMom   Thanks!  I'm actually looking for easy to open, rather than creating a frustrating experience.

I've purchased 6 of these over the years. The quality is very good. Most of the ones I purchased were the original carved notch and a couple of them were the magnet lock. All of them are still in good condition and still used. I will probably pick up one or two more because they make a nice gift.

I have several of Carver Dan's puzzle boxes and have given them as gifts.  The Quality is excellent, works of art and I display them as such.  There are so many wonderful designs to choose from and you can tell the time and effort that went into each box.  I wouldn't hesitate to give one as a gift and they are easy to open. The workers who create these boxes are skilled and talented.

I have purchased these boxes for gifts and agree that the quality is excellent. The gift receivers were all delighted. One consideration: the interior space is fairly small and the enclosed gift should, in many of the boxes, be something as small as cash, a piece of jewelry, etc.

That's exactly what I've planned for them, @Q-Checker.  Thanks for the confirmation.
