labor day is approaching which means a Monday off for me.even tho I won't do much,not packing a lunch,not getting ready,drinking that extra cup of java,is a special treat to me.cant wait! .

Labor Day to me means another month closer to fall and winter. Yiepee. Perhaps temps will start cooling and I'm another month closer to being able to wear long sleeves and long pants.

Labor Day means putting away my white pants and white candals! I know that just having the day off is a real holiday for most...staying in pjs, sleeping in, or just not being in a hurry to get out the door is a treat.

I actually saw someone putting pumpkins out on their porch today; I at least wait until long after Labor Day for that, but our summer has been so brutal, I know many are anxious.

I am enjoying my retirement, I don't miss working at all but I do miss the anticipation of long weekends and  holidays.
