Bethlehem Lights tree questions

I'm doing a little polling before I decide what I want to order when/if the BL trees I am looking at come back in stock.  I think this targetted forum is probably my best source of information, since we are all probably QVC shoppers.  I went to Home Depot yesterday and, while the prices were lower, so was the quality of the trees.  Far fewer molded tips and more of the old twisted wire/thin plastic green strips branches.  So I'm back to QVC.  First question:

#1 Does anyone have one of the "snow kissed" trees, where the molded tips are actually white plastic instead of flocking being used to resemble snow?  If you have one, do you like it, or does it look really fake/plastic?  I like the idea of flocking NOT falling off all over my living room when a tree is up.

#2  Does anyone have one of this year's new "color prism" trees?  I ordered a flocked one, and it was beautiful, BUT the flocking was falling off in huge chunks just taking it out of the box, so I knew it wouldn't last, and sent it back as defective.  If you have one, is it "green" or "flocked", and if the latter, is the flocking staying on your tree, or is it shedding?

Thanks for sharing any info you have!

Re: Bethlehem Lights tree questions

I do not have a BL tree. Last year I got a wreath and swag for first time from BL. Battery operated. At first I liked it. Then I realized the TV remote messed with the timer. Irksome but oh well.

What I realized after a while of use was that the lights on the greenery hurt my eyes. I had a wreath on a table to use as a "candle" ring. So when I would watch TV it was off to my side. It took days to realize what was happening, but I finally realized the LED in the lights hurt my eyes. I will not buy any more BL to use indoors because of the lights.
