We normally decorate the weekend of Thanksgiving, however since we will be gone that week, we are going to decorate around November 20th, and 21st....
My husband will be very eager to take everything down by December 27th or 28th for sure, since we are doing it a bit earlier!!!
I enjoy my decorations though-you work so hard to get them up and looking nice-might as well enjoy them for as long as you can..

I have to get my tree and my decorations up, presents all wrapped by December 3rd. I'm having surgery the first week in December and I'll be unable to decorate or do too much for 2 weeks after. I'm working on getting my shopping done soon.

Black Friday!
I only "do" outdoors with multicolor lighting on the shrubbery

Decorate by putting out greenery and a big centerpiece for Thanks Giving . I wait till the week of the 21st to put out the Nativity set and other decorations such as a tree.
Love to wait till Christmas eve to decorate the tree while listening to traditional Christmas music .

I will put my tree up November 1st and gradually add the rest. I love the ambiance and it puts me in an upbeat mood.

I don't do much decorating anymore, but I usually put everything up around December 15.
My husband celebrates Christmas on January 7, so it will have be be up until then. Most of the people in my neighborhood and town live their Christmas decor up until then as well.

I usually wait until Thanksgiving weekend and since I won't be traveling this year for Christmas, I'm really looking forward to enjoying my decorations for the whole month.

We have our Nativity up in front of the house, but it is not illuminated yet, that will be T-Giving. We always put it up early when the weather is still good, we also have a holiday star that goes on the chimney. It is up year around but not illuminated.
The star on the chimney has a history-it was once on one
of the department stores in our downtown, it graced the
top of their tree. It was a gift to us when they closed the
store.

My outside decorations are pretty simple. I put a pretty wreath on my front door that has white lights on it, the two urn evergreen trees that flank the door on each side also have white lights on them. Then every room in my house has a Bethlehem candle that comes on at dusk. My large picture window usually has a lit table top Christmas tree that can be seen from the outside.
My family room has the large 7 ft Christmas tree that I begin to decorate the week before Thanksgiving, but it's generally not finished until just after Thanksgiving. My fireplace mantel begins to get decorated right after Thanksgiving. I don't theme it Christmas, but rather winter so that it stays up until the end of Feburary.

@CANDLEQUEEN I usually put up some holiday decor right after Thanksgiving weekend is over. I spend Christmas out of town so when I get home I leave things decorated till New Year Day.
