Anyone have Luminara lanterns?

How do I remove the packing from the candle within the lantern?  Or remove the candle from the lantern?  The cardboard and styrofoam around it are so tight.  And does the candle come out of the lantern to insert the batteries?  There are no instructions.

Thanks!

@FranandZoe

let's see if I can remember because I have a couple of them!

When mine arrived, I needed to remove a cardboard piece from around the "flame."

On the bottom there is a "door" to open and remove to insert the batteries.

The clear or gray on/timer/off button is on the bottom too.

The candles in mine do not come out...do you have the item number and I will look.

Item # is H219303 - no longer available but you can look at it.

If you mean there's a door on the bottom of the candle I have to figure out how to remove the candle first. I see on the description that the candle is removable.   I have many Luminara candles but this is my first lantern.

Thanks!

I don't have those but my 2 cents is......on David show last night - heard the lady vendor say that (3) candles don't come out.

Re: Anyone have Luminara lanterns?

Those I have look exactly like this, but candles are not removable, but I think there is a way.  You say your candle is removable.  I looked at the photos of yours.

With styrofoam and cardboard around the candle in your lantern, it looks like the added width would be too wide to pull the candle out through the door. Can you take the top of the lantern off?

There are little screws on the bottom of my lanterns that look like the candles can be taken out, but if wrapped in styrofoam and cardboard, it would be too wide for the hole.  Look to see if that isn't an option for you on your lantern.

I cut the cardboard and broke up the styrofoam in the lanterns I purchased.

Luminara should have provided directions on how to take the candle out.  There might be a clue there.

Re: Anyone have Luminara lanterns?

No screws to take the bottom off. So I decided to just try and cut the cardboard and styrofoam with a box cutter. As I was doing that the candle moved a bit so I was able to get it out the glass door.  Success!

Thanks everyone for all your help!
