Re: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO TIGNANELLO HANDBAGS?

[ Edited ]

never cared for the tignanello brand.....i think it was too conservative for me.

i LOVED the bmak and kvz brands though. never had to throw out any due to wear and tear. very well made and fun to carry. i usually passed them along to my daughters or donated them whenever i did a purge.

bruce and kathy made a fortune when they sold all of those companies!

of course he is still making fortunes now, but in a totally different industry.

Re: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO TIGNANELLO HANDBAGS?

I actually have the red bag that was pictured earlier in the thread. I also have a cream color all leather Tig bag that I have had for years--it is still in great shape and great to carry in the summer. I recently got rid of a black and white Tig bag---the leather was peeling on part of it. Actually it was supposed to be a real leather bag, but it was a thin layer of leather glued to some sort of backing. That was really disappointing because I really liked the style of the bag--sort of a spectator look. That bag was the newer of the 3 and the quality had gone down hill. I bought all 3 from the Q years ago.

i bought lots of them at Marshalls and TJ Maxx, speaking of Maxx, remember the Maxx NY bags ? And what happened to Stone Mountain, they wore like iron.

Re: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO TIGNANELLO HANDBAGS?

Someone just mentioned a MAXX Bag................had a red one.  Best red bag I ever had.  Sorry I donated it.  Have one Tignanello and one BMakowski, and still use them in the winter if the weather is bad , don't mind getting them wet.  They have both held up beatifully, but they are heavy, a lot of hardware.

Last year I bought a LeDonne from QVC.  I Love It!  It's like a oldtime leather bag, not stiff, no hardware and am sure the older it gets the better it willl be.  And it's easy to get into. I wish they had it in cordovan like the old Etienne Aigner bags.

Because of the LeDonne bag I have no interest in buying Dooneys anymore.
