@Tinkrbl44 So strange that you started this thread today as earlier I was just playing around on my computer and had that very same thought regarding Tig bags!!! I googled them and saw they are now sold on Amazon........didn't look further into it regarding the Chinese company now that owns it though.
I liked them back in the early days just like Bruce and Kathy's bags. Some I have since donated but I still own a few and they are in nice shape. I think the quality was good once upon a time.
Guess we are on the same wave length today ![]()

I bought quite a few Tig bags as well as Kathy Van Zeeland bags. At first I loved them. Then I noticed the straps on the Tig bags started to crack. I discovered that the straps weren't made out of leather. The body of the bags looked great but I could no longer carry them.
I was a big fan of the Kathy bags. I loved the studs & the bling. I had about 10 of them. After a couple of years those bags literally started to disintegrate. The material just started to peel in chunks & turned to powder.
IMO, looking back, those two lines of handbags were over priced. I did buy a pair of Kathy's boots. I still have them. I also bought a pair of Bruce's wedge slides & still wear those too.
Kathy & Bruce sold their businesses & went into building & selling multi million dollar homes in Beverly Hills. They're still married & living the high life.

I am carrying a Tig bag right now, probably bought it at least 15 years ago! My bags are lasting forever, it seems! I loved all my Tiganello bags. I am sorry the brand is gone and they sold to a foreign company.

They can still be purchased online at Amazon and ThredUP and still at a good price point for all leather.

I remember some years back Macy's carried a lot of Tignanello handbags. Very nice quality.

I have a couple of Tignanello leather hobo bags that I bought from e-bags probably close to 20 years ago. I haven't worn them in a long time, since I prefer a bit more organization in my bags these days, but they're still in pristine shape. I had many folks compliment them for their beautiful leather.
These days, I've been buying my bags from an Australian company called Wanderers Travel Co. when they have their 20% off sales, which makes their gorgous all leather bags much more affordable. The last one I bought is called The Toulouse in slate:

I think I own a few of this style in different colors and one with a diamond pattern in that same style. These are not mine. I found pics online that look like mine.

I LOVED those bags, the red one I looked and looked for and was not able to find it. I'm not sure but I think I sold a number of my collection on eBay. I purchased a beautiful black leather tote in 1996 and sold it on eBay and immediately regretted it. Tig was a GREAT company but yes, without telling any of us what they were doing, they changed quite a few details on their bags and included plastic/vinyl handles, trim, straps, interior trim, etc. I found a lot of used bags and looked them over carefully to make sure I would be selling one that was in great shape!! But I turned on the purses and it's married couple and never bought another new one again.
The two bags presented here make me want to run out and look for these styles again! ![]()

I have a number of vintage Tignanello handbags that I never use. They are all leather, but I stopped carrying such large bags. (At least two of mine still have the tags on them.)
Someday I may get around to selling them on eBay. I'd like to at least get back some of what I spent on them. ![]()
