I primarily buy hobo-ish bags with one strap, so this bag that I just ordered is a stretch for me. I was in search of a blue bag (not so dark that it's looks black). I think it's cool-looking. :-)

@suzyQ3: That IS a cool-looking bag. I like the shape and color, and the unexpected long handles. I hope you're pleased with it when it arrives!

@suzyQ3

I love the shape and color of your new beautiful bag.  I own a Hobo bag and a Hobo wristlet.  I am a real fan of their glazed leather which wears beautifully!

Enjoy!

Thanks, all. Yes, @magicmoodz, you have a good eye. It is Hobo International. It's their vintage leather, which is glazed.

That is a really, really cute bag @suzyQ3... I usually like a hand held option, but, like you, make exceptions for something striking... Love this one and the color choice...

This is a beautiful blue.  I love the shape of it, too.  I am getting so I like a handbag that doesn't fall in on itself and has some body to it. I have wanted to "stretch" a little myself but don't like to change handbags very often.  I usually stick with gray or black because it matches all my clothes.  I do, however, live a casual lifestyle now and am mostly in black slacks or jeans.  This one has me sorely tempted!!

I guess many of us do get set in our ways. As I mentioned, I prefer shoulder bags with one strap. I also am not a structured bag lady, so to speak. I hope that this one is not too structured. I doubt it since it is not very deep, and I notice that structured bags often have a healthy depth to them.

We shall see. I do love the color.

Re: Something different

I'll start with the obvious: I am an idiot.

What about a structured east-west, double-strapped, structured, and deep handbag made me say, "Wow. That's for me."

Don't get me wrong. I'ts a gorgeous bag. The leather is not so glossy that it looks plastic as I've seen in the past. It just has a nice sheen -- very expensive looking.

Unfortunately, I looked ridiculous with it either on my shoulder or in the crook of my arm. I'm 5'3 1/2" and very thin. This bag was an inch deeper than stated, and it makes a diference, especially when structured. It stuck out from my stick body and made me look rather freakish.

Fourteen inches long and eight or nine inches high is the definition of east-west. Love the look but not on my body. I need the length and height to be roundly about the same to help give me a taller look rather than cutting me in half.

Such a shame. But this beautiful handbag is already in transit back to Hobo.
