@Grade1Teach You have a lot going on.  Sounds lovely.

For me, I stay away from creeping Jenny.  It got in my lawn and was a real challenge to get out.  There was a little patch and I turned around it seems and there was a huge section.

Would love to see some photos.  LM

@KathyM23  We have a busy Spring.  We are hosting a garden tour June 2nd for our Provincial Association of Garden.Clubs so we will be busy.

We had a killing frost in Feb.  Some of our garden experts tested buds on rhodos after that and many were dead.  Fingers crossed as I am hoping for them to be in bloom for the gardeners.

The weather warms up significantly this week so we will be busy.  LM

PS, I had to look up Dutchman's Breeches as I never heard of it.  So pretty.

Personally, I love creeping jenny (lysimachia).  I had an area where the garden just always looked "dark" and I plopped a pot of jenny in the middle of it, hoping it would overrun the space and the pot (clay) could just deteriorate in place.

Done!  In dry seasons she is limited from spreading, the pot is fading into the ground, and I simply mow over it as it spreads a bit into the turf.  Mingles nicely with a native moss that is yellow.

My old azaleas (I think they're "Karen" - unfortunate name in these times) are starting to bloom outside the picture window.  They're easily 6' tall and I'm having said window replaced so I may have to cut them back.  I will not relish that but it has to be done.  Take me away, Calgon!

@Lilysmom1

I will definitely think about posting pictures once everything starts showing their color!

I had heard that Creeping Jenny was invasive, but I'm hoping that I will be able to stay on top of it.  The area I am putting it in was a section of grass that is on one side of our walkway.  The other side is our actual lawn, so I don't think it will ever get to the point where it will cross the walkway (at least I hope not!).  We had that section of grass removed a few years ago and put in a beautiful Red Dynamite Crape Myrtle.  The area now has large stones/rocks, Ajuga, and Ice Plants.  Over the last few years I was planting all sorts of things in that open space, but it just looked like a mish-mosh to me.  So, I transplanted some of the flowers and just have low growing groundcover there.  My goal is to ultimately fill up that space with the Ajuga, Dianthus, Ice Plants, and maybe the Creeping Jenny if it works out.  We'll see!
