Speaking of Clematis

We've had two on the side of a large trellis next to our garage for three years. This is the third summer. It grows like crazy but I've yet to see more than a handful of blooms and they were tiny. I was hoping for lots of large blooms all summer. Several neighbors have clematis and they are already blooming and are beautiful. All I have is green.

Any ideas what's going on?
