@cheriere  I love the fresh spring peas. I like to shell the peas cook them and make cream peas with dumplings....yummy...a good southern recipe.

Now that sounds delicious! 😋

I've never made them like that with dumplings.  I have made peas and new potatoes with white gravy, but now I have to try the dumplings out!  Thank you.😃❤️

You must have quite a large garden. Lots of work but very worth it!

These days it isn't that big.  I grow a little bit of everything though and that's about more work than I can stand lol.

Thank you for posting.😃❤️

@jlkz

What a wonderful memory!  I'll bet you loved having that big garden!  That sounds so much like what we used to do with my grandparents.  It took every spare minute back then to work everything up lol.

I love ❤️ the story about the manure too!  My grandpa used to raise and sell cattle and when I was a little girl he taught me to say, "Smells like money in the bank to me!"  Wasn't that crazy lol.😃❤️

@cheriere I enjoyed the photos of the Spring Peas. I do not know why, but we never had any in our gardens. They look like edamame. I can tell they would be something I would enjoy. Your photography is so lifelike and detailed. Do you freeze them or can them?

Aww, thank you so much.😃❤️

I always appreciate your checking out my posts.❤️

We usually freeze some, but this year we really didn't grow a whole lot.  By the time we share some messes with relatives, we'll probably only have a few for ourselves left.  We'll just cook those...and save some for Ruby of course.😃

@cheriere,

Like others have said, my first thought is your photos are so beautiful. And I appreciate even more -peas! Seeing how they grow. Another thing I have never known or seen before.

I'm so glad you're enjoying seeing things like this from my garden.  Hopefully, I'll have some good cabbage and tomato pictures before too long.😃❤️
