Re: It's that Time of Year in Texas

@Desertdi    Are you sure you didn't bring that picture from California?

@Kachina624      It was on an AZ website....and was even on the news today.    Guess they didn't know where they were!!!!    Anyway,  I have seen the "fields of weeds" driving back and forth myself.

@Kachina624      OK....here's one with the address:

I was born in Texas and fondly remember the bluebonnets. Fields of bluebonnets.

Happy memories

Because there's no Indian Paintbrush mixed in, I bet this is a cultivated field grown to harvest seed.  I have some seed and thought about tossing it onto the rocks in my front yard to see if anything would happen.

@Kachina624 I remember I had these two seed packets of wildflowers I purchased my first trip to Texas in 2006 (dreaming of Texas wildflowers on my deck!)...never planted them. First...I'm in CT...very different climate. Second...in a 2nd floor condo, pots and window boxes only..though could have planted them at mom's or bf's place. That said, never did...not sure if they're still hanging 'round in my gardening things; last year I did toss old packets. You add aging seeds to the mix and the odds of my "tossing them into..."a pot, and seeing what happened, might be futile now, lol. But, your comment made me wish I had. Do it! What have you got to lose. 🌼

@wagirl    You could easily do a screen print and send it off to one of those companies that copy them on stretched canvas.  All you have to do is put a couple of nails in the wall and hang.

@Desertdi   Beautiful Arizona poppies.  A very dense patch.

I love AZ poppies! AND, owl clover and lupine!
