Yesterday I got my first garden catalogue in the mail. I'm sure I'll be inundated, just like I am every year.

@GoneButNotForgotten You do have a garbage can, right?

@GoneButNotForgotten ,I start thinking about next gardening season when I finish yard clean up.  The rest over winter gives me time to think about next year's work.  It's not work to me, it is my favorite hobby!

We don't seem to get that many catalogues on gardening ... I am in Canada.  I usually have to search for what I am looking for.  LM

I don't get many gardening catalogs either but I look forward to the start of QVC's garden programming in about a month.

In order to avoid wasting paper, if you receive catalogs you don't want, you can go to catalog choice org or even call the catalog company and ask to be removed.  Don't just toss unwanted catalogs, make a change.  It's the right thing to do.

I got my first catalog last week.  I love them.  I hope they keep coming.  They usually highlight the newer varieties of plants available for the coming year.  And sometimes varieties that seem hard to get locally.  I love looking through them.

anything that is better than the non stop programs filled with pj's or anything cuddle duds--but won't be ordering anything as last year year, I ordered lily bulbs that were to be at my door in March--I am on the west coast--and didn't get them until May!! they didn't do well and did get my $$ back--will stick to my local nursery from now on.

I enjoy watching gardening.  Last year I ordered the lily bulbs from Roberta's. I didn't get them in April so emailed them. They sent me a replacement set. All but one bloomed, but they were very leggy, not full like on tv. Beautiful large long lasting flowers. I had to cut the flowers because they got so heavy the stems were breaking. They are suppose to come back this year. We'll see.
