Okay, don't hate me, but I guess I'm the odd ball here. I'm super fussy when I clean every week, so I don't have to do any spring cleaning or fall cleaning.

I do, however, do special things like clean my windows twice a year (both inside and out) and I move my fridge and stove and clean the floor/wall behind them. And wipe down the sides and back of the fridge and stove. And I vaccum the back of the fridge where the compressor is. Other than that, nothing special is needed.

I've heard some people do their 'spring cleaning' in small doses all year. They have certain times each year they wash the windows and other big jobs.

How do you work in things like carpet cleaning, washing walls, washing curtains etc.? Those are the things that I only want to do once a year, and it takes a lot of tearing up to get it done, so I tend to do most of it all in one week or two period this time of year.

No....because spring isn't here yet. My housekeeper and I did discuss what needs to be done. We'll talk details in a week or two.

Hi Chrystaltree-

Would love to see the plan that you & your housekeeper come up with. It will help me not have to think about what needs to be done...and just get started on THE LIST!

Re: Have you started your Spring cleaning yet?

No, not inside - and won't because we always have hoards of people here at Christmas, so my "spring cleaning" is done in Nov-Dec every year.

Outside - yes! We've had unseasonably warm weather this week (yayyy!!) so I've been raking, pruning and cleaning up all the gardens and fluffing the compost pile. It's so wonderful to be outside again!

We went up to Nebr to see the cranes one year --- awesome! Really an amazing sight to see. Thanks for the memories!

Housekeeping yes, it looks like spring. However our planting date isn't until June. Mid May or later I'll start outside.

Re: Have you started your Spring cleaning yet?

THIS YEAR this is one task I don't want to even think of, the shed are so full you open up the shed items fall out, there is so much to dump we may need a dumpster this year to ditch items in

in the house, yes I have been thinking of wall washing already and drapes/curtain take down. so much to clean this year.

Re: Have you started your Spring cleaning yet?

Hi, Susan Louise!! We are doing our spring cleaning. Merry Maids cleaned our blinds, and window washers are coming when the temp. gets above 40 degrees. We also bought a new leather chair yesterday and a new fridge. Our old fridge was 20 yrs. old, so the technology has changed a lot. Now we are trying to eat out of the freezer before it gets delivered. We have cleaned out most places in our house.
