I must have missed something. I used  to find tig bags in department stores such as macys and belks. I went to the tignanello website and if I understood correctly, they are exclusive to qvc now. I did see a few on amazon but not on websites for belk or macys. Sorry to see this happen . Does nayone know the scoop on this.

@webbgarner1-

I don't know why they aren't at those stores anymore but around this summer I did see a few in Marshalls and TJ Maxx.I haven't been there in awhile so don't know if they still have them.

I have no idea if they are limiting their line. I do know that many years ago I bought a small black leather purse from QVC that was a Tiganello and it lasted forever!  Great quality leather, very durable, and it had great features too.

I used to purchase in Lord and Taylor. They haven’t been available in department stores in the nyc area in years

I haven't seen them in TJMaxx for a long time too.  The evolution of these bags have been interesting.  Fell in love with the brand in '96 when I purchased an all leather tote that was one of the best bags I've ever purchased...  then the brand started integrating vinyl onto the purses without fanfare.

Customers continued to assume they were still all leather.  I resold this brand and was astonished when I found them with disintegrating handles and anchors as well as trim.  Then I discovered that's where the vinyl was.  As the years went by, some of the styles had vinyl bottoms and sides with leather only on the front and back... handles, handle anchors, some front pockets, straps and interior trim.... all vinyl.   They lost me at "vinyl".  I do not like vinyl handbags and like it less when the comany making them would prefer letting the customer believe the bag is all leather riding on the excellent reputation they used to have.....

Even though QVC is selling them exclusively and the item listing clearly states that the "trim" is vinyl, the definition of trim is loose IMHO.  Also, the actual programming, with the QVC host and vendor showing the handbag.... I've yet to see them tell us exactly what is leather and what is vinyl on these bags.  Some ladies still believe these are "all leather" bags.

Just be careful and know what you're buying...  if you love these bags and don't care... enjoy!!    Woman Happy

@KonaKat.  It seems quite a lot has change since that Tignanello philosophy was written.  Now it's all about soft vinyl.  Their downward slide began when customers became aware of the deceptive practices @Q4u describes, under the ownership of Bruce Makowsky.  He sold the company and now we rarely see or hear much about them.  What a shame to ruin a fine product with a great reputation just for a little more profit.

@KonaKat Maybe they are sold on a limikted basis  at stated brick and mortar stores. I was looking online and found not available at macys,bon ton, boscov .ebags had 2 wallets and 3 bags. What confused me was on the tignanello website when you click on the tab stores it says at qvc online exclusively. But if the quality has gone down that much, and they are deceptive even at qvc as to what they are made of, I will probably pass anyway. Shame this has happened to what use to be a good brand. Thanks everyone. Happy weekend !

Am I correct that the Marie Claire line also incorporates vinyl. I find it infuriating that on Ama**n items are listed as leather and later in the description call “pleather.”caveat emptor.
