Workout clothing is available at all price points, depends on what you want to pay, I will pay more for pants as they are harder to fit well.

Not all active wear is created equal. Some of the lower priced garments are simply active styled clothing and are not the moisture wicking high tech fabrications one would need when actually wearing the clothing for working out or playing a sport.

My feelings are that if you are wearing active clothing because it is a fashion trend, then save money and buy the lower priced garments. If you require the garment to perform with you, then the extra money dropped on the Nike, Lucy, Lululemon, Athleta, GAP Body true athletic apparel will prove to be well spent. I'm not familiar enough with QVC's Cheryl Burke's line to say whether she is all about the fashion, or if her things are truly fitness wear.

I have 2 pieces of Cheryl Burke's line and they are high end and great - just as good in quality as the ones I order from athletic/dance wear companies. So far they have washed well and it's apparent they will not fall apart with heavy workouts.

I agree with Trix. I workout every day, and I've tried almost every brand out there. Although I get good performance from Target's C9 and Old Navy's workout apparel - both of which are very inexpensive - they need to be replaced more frequently than the Athleta and Zella workout attire I have. They pill badly, and the fabrics are not as supportive as more costly brands. If Cheryl Burke's attire is truly made for working out and the quality is good, then I think the prices are fair. I used to balk at expensive workout clothes until I realized I wear them EVERY day and am much harder on them than my regular clothing! I'd pay as much for a nice outfit for work or even casual wear so it makes sense to me to spend the extra for quality and performance. It was a tough pill to swallow! I have fewer things now, but they are all of better quality (no more working out in crummy t-shirts that don't wick away the sweat).

I also agree w/ Trix...not all workout wear is created equal. I beat my work out gear to death. Between running 4-5 times a week, weight workouts, swimming and the occasional pilates class...my clothing needs to hold up....so I tend to spend more on the real stuff for working out in. For the casual stuff to do errands in...I'm not quite as picky and love to save $$.

For me the hardest item to buy is a great sports bra. But that's a whole different topic. {#emotions_dlg.scared}

I do like the kohls tek gear pants in the slim fit, but I purchase most of my athletic wear from lulu lemon. I like the fit.

When I first joined the gym here about 10 years ago, I bought some "good' gym clothes. Now - it's WWC bottoms and oversized men's white v-neck tee shirts.

At my gym, the only people wearing "workout clothes" are a few of the younger women. The rest of us wear stretchy pants and tee shirts.
