There are many different body types and many different styles of clothing. Wear what you like and buy what you like Nobody is forced to wear "skinny" anything
Look at what has been available out there.

I've never seen it look good on anyone... even super skinny legs look frumpy.

I don't like the look of the crop pants but I do like the shorter version that resemble gauchos. And I think they'd look good in the winter with boots if you live where it gets cold.
@151949,You go girl! I feel the same as well. A straight line down from the outer hip is much better than a pant that follows the leg line and narrows at the ankle, or just above which accents and even highlights figure challenges!

I've been thinking about a summer print palazzo pant ever since I first read this post. Didn't love the ones here and there weren't many to choose from. Evine just had a pair that sold out lickety split but they had a ton of others online. Worked out better for me because I don't like a super wide leg, I like a nice full lg and that's what I bought. Evine has bcome my "go to" place for summer clothes. How the heck did that happen....lol

The wide leg cropped length is really flattering on my generous figure. Don't know why but it looks great with a tsnirt and sandals. Also cool in the summer and comfy when the weather is cool with flats. Enjoy yours! They are probably here to stay.

Well said Pook,
Everyone is different, and the US is a huge country whose population is very diverse in every sense and way more lenient fashion wise.
In Europe you have to follow what it is à la mode or en vogue🌻although we are also learning to be less strict. We did not invent the expression "fashion victim" en France. Sadly that happens quite often.

Did you see IM's pants tonight, wide leg with the sewn seem going down the middle of the leg. Those were not my favorite at all!
I thought no one looked in SG's pants last night and yet, they sold really well, go figure

I have a small frame and can't wear anything wide or loose fitting. I pay special attention to well fitted clothing and the slim legged or skinny jeans are just right for me.
I would never wish that a style that isn't right for me...disappear from the stores, just because I don't buy it.

I had a pair of gauchos back in the day that I loved to wear with knee boots. I would not wear wide legged capris or crops, but if others like them that is fine. I haven't seen too many of those in stores, but I have seen a few more wide leg trousers this year. I still see more skinny pants & jeans and leggings in stores than anything. I see less boot cuts than last year, but straight leg jeans and trousers still seem to have the smallest inventory in stores.

I agree. Wide anything just won't work for me. Skinny leg pants fit me like a pair of normal, slim legged pants because my legs are thin. It is the first time in years pants aren't swimming on me.
