All of us know lively, fashionable ladies of mature years........but we probably also know that as we get older and our bodies and lifestyles change with time, many women dress more modestly and conservatively, cover more skin, and are less likely to wear trendy, of-the-moment fashions. Longer skirts, longer sleeves, higher necklines, less body-conscious fit.......all of it can come across as frumpy and dumpy to the young and adventurous, I guess! But many of us (for good reason) are not eager to show off thighs, knees, upper arms, necks, decolletage, muffin tops, backfat and all the rest. Not to mention that some of us can no longer walk in high heels or trendy platform shoes! I don't think the "old lady" adjectives have much to do with sloppiness or bad taste; it's probably more about being more conservative and less adventurous in clothing choices.
But we can still look GOOD.
