Why Are Sizes Different In Brands? Justine Leconte

Many ladies are bewildered because of size differences across the brands.  Why does this happen?  How can you make ordering in general more accurate with all sites?

Also not all European shoe sizes are the same across the designers.   I wear a size 8 US and a 38 or 39 European.  The 39 that is 8 to 8.5 are the best fit for me in an enclosed shoe or boots.

Fascinating.  Although I knew some of this, hearing the entire history of sizing was amazing.  I didn't realize that they "started over" so many times during my lifetime!

Then I couldn't resist clicking on her video about what was considered an ideal woman's sillouette through the ages - wow.  Thanks @ECBG!

@shoesnbags,Justine is very interesting.  She's a graduate of Parsons and was there with Tim Gunn.  Her story is on one of her videos.

@ECBGMy niece graduated from Parsons - but not in fashion design.  She designs furniture that sells for quite a pretty penny!

@ECBG

I know we can't post links, so I'll just say that the website for her company is Kavante Design and the website is Kavante dot com.  It's all very, very modern, which is not my personal taste, but obviously there are a lot of people who prefer modern.  She's won awards, and we're all very proud of her.

Very interesting.  Thank you much!  I liked some of her last inventory, but not the print.  "I gotta LOVE it!!!".  Smiley Happy

@shoesnbags

I'm not a fan of ultra modern furniture either, but some of her leg designs are spectacular...a modern sculpture...
