I know I have to wear the banks cardigan and I was told that if I wanted a dress jacket to not get one with my clothing allowance due to it being ill fitted.

I looked up foxcroft and they're a little on the pricey side.

Well, yes, they are pricey. But they last forever. You can almost always find online coupons for Appleseeds, Togshop and Norm Thompson. Hold out for one with free shipping also.

I haven't found anything that works. Either the button comes undone or if I buy over sized to give extra chest room they just gap. I've been tempted to sew a hook and eye closure between buttons but instead I just avoid buying button downs if at all possible.

Your bra will make all of the difference when wearing a button down shirt.  If you haven't been fitted in a while, you might want to consider having that done and making sure you are in the correct size and that it is positioned properly on you.

Your button downs will fit nicely.

I wish that was the solution for me but it hasn't been.
