Re: Where do you find fashion inspiration?

I don't keep up with the latest or follow fashion trends, I wear what is comfortable and what I think looks good on me, I have simple taste in clothing & shoes, I do get some inspiration just from looking at what people are wearing these days when I am out and about that would bring ideas.

Re: Where do you find fashion inspiration?

I think "fashion" is mostly followed by older women, probably women who still work or did work and miss it.  I don't think younger people think "fashion."

They see people wear things on the internet and may buy to mimic them.  I think trends is a more accurate description for today's world.  I feel so lucky to not have to worry about what I wear as I did when I worked.  I like to look nice, but it isn't something to be concerned about day to day.  What a blessing!

@PickyPicky3

I kept those big September issues all year as well as the other issues and memorized every issue from age 15; I totally get it.

My "magazine" is now youtube.  M M Design is young but gets the trends and color palette down.  Beth Djajli is excellent.  I love Christine LeConte graduate of Parsons School of Design with Tim Gunn.

You can also Google ______age fashion bloggers.

Inspiration?  No ... make that "temptation" from my favorite online websites ... especially when the phrases "extra percentage off"  and "final sale" comes with the email.

I'm long past being "fashion-minded," and way past the years when I had to be in style.  My wardrobe remains the same now ... blazers, pants and jeans, and, of course, my "real" passion, sweaters ... ad infinitum.  You should see some of my new sweater finds ... can't wait for fall!

My personal style is fairly well established ... my knitwear is another subject.

Yarn company websites and catalogs, Vogue Knitting and other knitting and crochet magazines, websites like Peruvian Connection.

Pinterest website is another source.

I'm a people watcher and love street style.

Very rarely, if ever, do I see anyone on the street who I would want to emulate. I oftentimes wonder where all the fashionable people are. That's why I like to go on Pinterest to see what the cool people are wearing.

Re: Where do you find fashion inspiration?

I regularly receive catalogs from Venus, Boston Proper, Soft Surroundings, LCreation, LLBean, etc. if I see something I like I think of what I already have that will go with it and then buy it. I don’t read fashion mags. I don’t think I have a style. I just wear what I like.

Re: Where do you find fashion inspiration?

I'm fairly set in my tailored fashion style. If I have free time, I may put some different pieces together, add a scraf, belt  or different jewelry to change it up.

If I do get stumped, Pinterest has my "style board" of saved images I've chosen to save for "tailored, classic and minimal looks over 60".

I've pretty well established my look over the last decades, but do take a glance at emails from my favorite stores...Banana Republic, Nordstrom, J Crew. When out of town in bigger cities, I love to go to NM, Bloomies and Ralph Lauren. I also check local boutiques for one of a kinds in jackets or blouses.

I don't spend that much on clothing anymore. We rarely dress up with more than what I have and my standard outfits have served me well.

I really like to see how the HSN & QVC stylists put things together.  That's my biggest inspiration.  I read fashion articles online and then there's Pinterest.
