What puzzles me is what is behind the extreme polarization? I mean, did LR regularly get in her car and drive to people's homes to p*e*e in their cornflakes? Did she break up people's homes? I just don't understand what she ever did to invoke such feelings. For cryin' out loud; she just sold things on a home shopping network.

Or, is it her fans? Have they been so offensive that the bad feelings are being displaced on to LR as a kind of revenge against her fans or just a way to continually tweak people's noses? Or, a combination of all of it?

She was my consistent favorite amongst the hosts, but she still had some verbal tics that irritated me. However, no one is perfect so that didn't affect my appreciation for her persona or her style.

I do understand that some hosts are very irritating to watch and I have hosts that I can't watch, but I never wished them ill, either while they are on QVC or after they have left. There are some very personal and low things said about LR on a personal level that are unwarranted, in my opinion.

I am actually happy that she has moved on for her own sake. I hope that things die down and the level of hostility towards her dies down. Maybe the moderators need to put a 1 year moratorium on discussing her here so that the ill feelings dissipate.
