What Do You Look For In Clothing Design?

Finish this sentance (please don't mention brands):

I look for/or won't buy..........

I won't buy man made shoes or handbags, clothing that pulls my eye to the hip/thigh area, heels over three inches, or anything yellow based.

I look for edgy-tradition good quality comfortable clothing that speaks to me....I no longer buy leather products as my clothing has become a byproduct of my lifestyle.

Re: What Do You Look For In Clothing Design?

Other than the obvious, it fits and is within my budget:

Colors, cool tones that are either extremely bright, very deeply saturated or very pale. Ideally black, wine or in the purple/plum family. White is ok as is olive. Pale icy pink is nice. No yellow, no dusty shades and no pastels.

Not too loose or baggy. I prefer clothing that skims the body, except for some tops.

I like a medieval or renaissance influence on some items. Long bell sleeves for example.

It has to coordinate with my shoe collection in some way.

No heels over 4 inches unless they have a substatial platform but it all depends on if I can walk in them.

Preferably pants that show some ankle, I like my shoes to show.

No turtle necks or raglan sleeves. I just hate the way they feel.

I avoid anything described as space-dyed, heathered, marled, or slub. I also avoid volume. I don't do pull on pants unless it's a legging. I love a true peplum
