I tend to wear brighter colors instead of pastels for the same reason.

The colors you mention look really nice with white in warm weather. You will look great in those outfits!

It's interesting you should mention bright orange. I just bought a top in that color. Orange is a not a color I normally wear, but I want to give it a try. I think it will look good with white, navy, jeans, and a light tan or stone color.

I love black and navy and wear those colors often.

I like lots of different colors but I tend towards navy, red, white the most. Then I intersperse brighter colors like coral, turquoise and yellow.

Always fun to look things over during the change of seasons.

It seems there are several of us here who don't wear pastels. I've seen a lot of pastels in stores recently.

The colors you wear sound similar to mine. I'm sure you look great in your outfits! I also like khaki, white, and jean bottoms with various colors this time of year. I also own a pair of full length but light weight black pants for warm weather. A definite must have for me.

Hello! I hope you are feeling better. I miss seeing your lovely outfits on our OOTD thread! I haven't posted an outfit since February myself; taking a break. I still check in on the thread though.

I know you have background in color theory. I'm sure that helps you and your clients make great outfits! I never had my colors done. I just wear the colors I like.

I'm sure you look lovely in those lighter softer colors! I think those colors are so pretty, especially in warm weather.

I love black and cream all year. I used to wear more brown, but I don't have much in that color right now. I do have a dark brown and ivory print dress that I love. I've seen women wearing dark brown printed tops with white bottoms. I think that's a striking look in Summer.

I love color, no matter the season. I'm fair and once wore a lot of pastels. As I've aged I still wear light colors but not the palest shades. I like light to medium pinks, blues and greens.

I've learned that I look best in low contrast outfits. This was a revelation, and i wish I'd figured it out decades ago lol.

Other seasons mostly black and navy pants, some jeans, and tops of darker colors--especially jewel tones and black and brown mixed.

I also like white pants and shorts in Spring & Summer. I wear mine with printed tops. I don't own any linen. I keep thinking I should try a pair, because white denim can get be hot to wear, but I would have to overcome get my aversion to wrinkles. 🥴

I like black and navy pants and jewel tone tops too.

I wear the same colors you do. I also love patterned and printed tops. I'm a big fan of stripes and own way too many. 🥴

It's interesting you mentioned yellow. As a dark blonde with fair skin, I was told by others not to wear that color. I bought a bright yellow top last year, and I really like it. 🤔

Nothing beats classic optic white, red, navy or the blackest black especially with a little tan. But I love bright tops! I nearly always wear white or khaki on bottom unless it's denim shorts.

Like you I love red, white, and navy this time of year! Black and tan is a nice color combination too. I should wear that more often. I bet you look great in all your outfits!

I will wear white in April or May if the temperatures are warm. Not so much in September. I know people say we can wear white all year, but like you, I just don't like to wear white in fall and winter unless it's a layering tee.
